YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan of Armenia was interviewed by China’s Phoenix TV ahead of his visit to China.

Prospects of cooperation between Armenia and China in different sectors were addressed in the interview.

Avinyan stressed that Armenia and China have remarkable relations and expressed hope that the positive political relations will lead to establishing real economic relations.

Speaking of the agenda of his upcoming China visit, the Armenian Deputy PM said during the trip he will try to understand how Armenia and China can develop cooperation in ICT and higher education sectors.

Deputy PM Avinyan emphasized that Armenia can be of interest for Chinese companies also in the direction of infrastructure development. He noted that Armenia has certain potential in this direction.

He also touched upon the construction of the North-South Road Corridor in Armenia, which is set to become a high-quality highway linking Iran with Georgia through Armenia.

Avinyan will be in China on a working visit November 5-6.

He will participate in the China International Import Expo in Shanghai. Avinyan will be a speaker at the Hongqiao International Economic Forum’s panel discussion on “AI and Innovative Development: Ideas, Technology and Markets”. He will then travel to Beijing to meet with the business community.
