YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. The closed-format session of the Parliament’s ruling My Step faction has been completed at the office of the Civil Contract’s party.

The session was also attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Vice Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan told reporters that the participating MPs voiced various issues relating to a number of spheres. Asked whether the session touched upon the issue of the activity of the Public Council, the Vice Speaker said they exchanged views on the matter.

“I am not coming from the room where decisions are made. Issues were discussed and views were exchanged at the session. There was an issue relating to the Public Council with a respective response. I personally have my own opinion and can state that the Public Council is a meaningless structure. The PM also introduced his opinion, which would not be right for me to reveal”, he said.

Asked whether minister of education, science, culture and sport Arayik Harutyunyan will resign, Alen Simonyan responded with a question: “Why Arayik Harutyunyan should resign? If some people should decide which performance is good or bad, we will not achieve anything in this way”, he said.
