YEREVAN, OCTOBER 16, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian hosted Vice President on defense and space issues Lionel Champeaud and Regional Director of the world-famous Airbus company Vsevolod Kazakov who are in Yerevan at the President’s invitation, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.

“I am very happy that you accepted my invitation and are already here. My task is to open doors for our country, be useful and assist with my experience and opportunities”, the President told the guests, expressing confidence that they will have productive meetings on the aviation cooperation in Armenia.

The Airbus company representatives expressed a wish to get acquainted with the cooperation prospects, the market opportunities during their meetings in Armenia.

The meeting participants also touched upon the possibility of cooperation in high technologies. President Sarkissian introduced Armenia’s potential in this field, in particular on the presidential initiative ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) directed for science and technology development.
