Armenian justice minister, CoE Secretary General discuss judicial reforms

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Justice Minister of Armenia Rustam Badasyan on October 15 met with Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) Marija Pejčinović Burić in Strasbourg, the ministry told Armenpress.

During the meeting the justice ministry introduced Armenia’s ongoing judicial and anti-corruption reforms, the latest developments on this path, in particular touching upon the regulations of the two strategies approved by the government recently.

The minister and the CoE Secretary General continued discussing a number of issues relating to the agenda of human rights in Armenia.

On the same day the Armenian minister also had private meetings with other officials during which broad range of issues were discussed.

The Armenian justice minister is in France to take part in the conference on the theme “Digital challenges to justice in Europe” in Strasbourg.
