YEREVAN, OCTOBER 15, ARMENPRESS. At the invitation of Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, the delegation of Airbus led by vice president for defense and space Lionel Champeaud and head of the region, Central Asia and Caucasus, Vsevolod Kazakov, will arrive in Armenia on October 15-18, the President’s Office told Armenpress.

The first meeting of the Armenian President with the company leadership took place this year in June on the sidelines of the International Paris Air Show in Le Bourget. The President visited the company’s pavilion where he met with the executives. And during that time an agreement was reached regarding the visit to Armenia to continue the discussions on the cooperation opportunities.

During their visit to Armenia the Airbus officials will discuss the opportunities to assist the country’s sectorial industry. The company is interested in implementing educational programs with Armenia and establishing cooperation with the Armenian universities.

Airbus is an international reference in the aerospace sector. The company designs, manufactures and delivers industry-leading commercial aircraft, helicopters, military transports, satellites and launch vehicles, as well as providing data services, navigation, secure communications, urban mobility and other solutions for customers on a global scale.
