YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Armenian weightlifters Gor Minasyan and Ruben Alexanyan have won silver and bronze respectively at the 2019 IWF World Championships in Thailand.

Minasyan successfully lifted 200kg, 207kg and 212 kg in snatch, and then also lifted 248kg in clean and jerk. He was named silver medalist of the superheavyweight division.

Alexanyan’s snatch result was only 192kg, followed with 241kg and 245kg clean and jerk. He won bronze.

Earlier two other Armenian weightlifters had won gold and were crowned world champions – Hakob Mkrtchyan and Simon Martirosyan.
