Building football stadium in accordance with international standards is in Armenia’s agenda

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. The construction of a new football stadium meeting the international standards is in Armenia’s agenda where it will be possible to organize international games, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the meeting with the Armenian community representatives of New York.

“This issue is in our country’s agenda. I am convinced that we will definitely solve this issue”, the PM said.

According to him, in Europe football is not only a type of sport, but also a branch of an economy. “In this regard, we, of course, attach great importance to the development of football. But we view it not only as an economic branch, a type of sport, but also an important mean of organizing the public life, the life of the youth. This year approximately more than 50 football fields with artificial grass will be built in Armenia’s provinces by the end of the year which will enable a lot of children to play football”, the PM said.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is in the United States on a working visit.
