YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. On September 21, the Independence Day of Armenia, celebrations are also expected to take place in the Armed Forces.

Armenian defense ministry spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenpress that today both the agenda and the diet of soldiers are going to be festive as various events are expected to take place in the military units.

“A festive lunch and sweets will be served in the military units on the Independence Day. Special speeches will be delivered by the commanding staffs of the military units”, he said.

Today, the Third Republic of Armenia is celebrating its 28th anniversary of Independence.

This year the main celebrations are taking place in Gyumri, the second largest city of Armenia.
