Ric Ocasek from The Cars dead at 75
11:08, 16 September 2019YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. New wave rock band The Cars frontman Ric Ocasek died at the age of 75 in New York City on Sunday, CNN reported.
The New York Police Department received a call around 4 p.m. "for an unconscious male" at a townhouse on East 19th Street, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information told CNN.
Ocasek, whose identity was confirmed by police, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ocasek and The Cars were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. The cause of death wasn’t immediately clear.
