YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s emergency services received fifteen 911 calls on various active wildfires (grassfires) encompassing nearly 200 square meters and more each in different areas.

The grassfires were burning September 15 in Yerevan, Aragatsotn province, Ararat province, Armavir province, Kotayk province, Vayots Dzor province as well as near the Ashtarak-Gyumri and Masis-Yerevan highways.

All fires were contained and put out by firefighters, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a news release.

No injuries were reported.
