YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó’s office has said the negotiations with the government on overcoming the crisis can be considered to be “dead”.
“Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorial regime has stopped the negotiations process by concealing with false justifications,” Guaidó’s office tweeted, adding that the Barbados Process is dead.
The talks between Maduro’s government and the opposition took place in Barbados in mediation of Norway. In August, the Venezuelan government suspended the process as a protest against the US government’s heightened sanctions against Caracas.
