YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin says the situation over the Amulsar Project is the domestic problem of Armenia.

“As far as I understand no one doubts that the issue must be solved by taking into account all circumstances. Neither Armenia’s business reputation nor environment should suffer. I think this is Armenia’s domestic problem and the government and people of Armenia are wise enough to make a right decision”, the Ambassador told reporters.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan earlier asked the residents of Jermuk town to open the reads leading to the Amulsar gold mine. The PM said even if the roads are opened now, the construction works will not launch there until April 2020.
