YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. In the first half of 2019 the border troops of Armenia’s National Security Service prevented 52 attempts of the state border crossing with involvement of 78 persons. In addition, 42 cases of violation of border regime (84 persons), 2 violation cases of state border regime (3 persons) and 4 violation cases of state border checkpoint regime (5 persons) have been revealed, the NSS told Armenpress.

During this period 1005 persons have been discovered at the border checkpoints and detained by the Police.

In the reporting period 230 soldiers of border troops have been promoted, and 37 others have faced disciplinary penalty.
