YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. The General Prosecution has requested the National Security Service (NSS) to validate the accuracy of the allegations concerning the situation around the Amulsar gold mine.
Prosecution spokesperson Arevik Khachatryan said articles containing allegations on wrongdoing published in the press have been forwarded to the NSS.
“Articles containing elements of apparent crimes published in the press regarding the situation over the Amulsar mine, particularly the Facebook statements by former Environmental Inspection head Arthur Grigoryan and political scientist Hayk Martirosyan, who allege that a corruption deal has taken place in the Amulsar issue, have been sent by the prosecution to the NSS to check the circumstances mentioned in them,” Khachatryan said.
