YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan personally visited the site of a serious fire to lead the firefighting operation overnight.

The fire was first reported at 13:54, August 19 through a 911 call. The caller said that smoke can be seen rising from the Dzyunik Storage Facility, a refrigerated warehouse located on Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan.

Two firefighting brigades were dispatched to the scene, who soon afterwards requested backup and additional forces were sent to tackle the fire. The fire was burning in two floors (740 square meters each) of the 5-storey building.

Tsolakyan did not the leave the area throughout the night and personally commanded the operation.
