YEREVAN, AUGUST 16, ARMENPRESS. Deadline for launching EAEU common electricity market is set as of January 1, 2025. The decision was made in Kyrgyzstan during a discussion in the sidelines of the EEC Advisory Committee on Electricity.

ARMENPRESS reports EEC Minister for Energy and Infrastructure Emil Kaykiev said the common electricity market will positively impact on the cost price of energy production and will strengthen the energy security of the EAEU member states.

In May 2019 the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council signed the agreement on establishing a common electricity market.
