Philadelphia gunman arrested
10:46, 15 August 2019YEREVAN, AUGUST 15, ARMENPRESS. The gunman who opened fire at police officers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has been taken into custody, the Philadeplhia PD said on Twitter.
Six police officers were wounded during the firefight.
According to Fox News, the 36-year-old gunman – identified as Morris Hill – surrendered to authorities outside a house where he was hiding for several hours.
Hill, a local of Philadelphia, has a criminal record and was numerously detained by police in the past in gun-related violations.
The shooting happened when police arrived at the residence of the man to carry out a search.
