Armenian FM to visit Rwanda for genocide commemoration event
YEREVAN, MARCH 20, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s foreign minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan will travel to Rwanda to participate in a ceremony dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide on April 7th, foreign ministry spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan said at a press briefing on March 20.
She said that Armenia and Rwanda are closely cooperating in international organizations for the prevention of genocides and crimes against humanity.
“This visit is also important in terms of studying prospects of cooperation over digital agenda,” she said.
Naghdalyan also mentioned that on March 21 Peter Eriksson, Minister for International Development Cooperation of Sweden, will arrive in Armenia on a visit. Eriksson will have meetings with high-ranking government officials.
Then, on March 26, PACE President Liliane Maury-Pasquier will visit Armenia.
