Russia issues travel warning for Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, MARCH 13, ARMENPRESS. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia has issued a travel warning for its citizens who want to visit Azerbaijan.

It called on its citizens to assess all possible risks in detail before traveling to Azerbaijan.

In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that Azerbaijan’s border service continues banning persons having direct or indirect signs of affiliation with the Armenian ethnicity regardless of citizenship, substantiating this by the unresolved NK conflict.

“Russia’s numerous calls on the inadmissibility of ethnic discrimination towards citizens of the Russian Federation visiting Azerbaijan are being rejected,” the foreign ministry said.
