YEREVAN, MARCH 11, ARMENPRESS. Defense minister Davit Tonoyan today received new Ambassador of the United States to Armenia Lynne Tracy, the ministry told Armenpress.

Minister Tonoyan congratulated the Ambassador on assuming office and wished success during her diplomatic mission. Davit Tonoyan said in the past 17 years the Armenian-American partnership has constantly developed in the defense field and expressed confidence that the current cooperation programs will continue to be implemented, as well as new projects will be initiated.

Mrs. Ambassador stated that she is delighted to meet with the defense minister of Armenia and discuss the bilateral cooperation development opportunities in the defense sector.

At the meeting issues relating to the regional security, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process, as well as Armenia’s humanitarian mission in Syria were discussed.
