YEREVAN, MARCH 4, ARMENPRESS. Germany’s participation format to the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT-2019) has been discussed during the meeting of the Congress Chair, Chairman of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises Alexander Yesayan and Stefan Kaegebein, Regional Director for Eastern Europe at the German Eastern Business Association, reports Armenpress.

The discussion was attended by the WCIT-2019 program manager Syuzanna Azօyan and Director of the German Eastern Business Association Ute Kochlowski-Kadjaia. The meeting derives from the cooperation document signed in Germany on the sidelines of the official visit of the Armenian Prime Minister.

The German guests were interested in “smart city”, “climate change”, “e-commerce” topics included in the agenda of the Congress.

“Our Association, the members of which are a number of major companies of German origin, are ready to support inviting targeted speakers and representatives of German companies”, Stefan Kaegebein said.

 “We have also highlighted the readiness of the two Associations to support creating new business ties between the Armenian and German companies, the investments and cooperation”, Alexander Yesayan said.

WCIT-2019 will be held in Yerevan in October. It is being organized by the support of the Armenian government.

The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) is the largest and the most reputable international event among worldwide IT leaders.

It brings together high-level officials from different countries, heads of multinational organizations, universities and scientific research centers, non-governmental organizations' representatives and many more.

The event includes discussions of legal, political and economic trends affecting IT business processes, presentations of innovative solutions, B2B meetings and so on.
