Armenian humanitarian mission in Syria proceeding normally

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 22, ARMENPRESS. Ruben Arakelyan, the head of the Center for Humanitarian De-Mining and Expertise, an Armenian governmental agency that has dispatched specialists to Syria on a humanitarian mission, visited the experts in Syria, the organization said on Facebook.

“During his stay in Syria Ruben Arakelyan visited the Armenian specialists who are carrying out the humanitarian mission. The building formerly housing a school, where they have been stationed, is renovated, equipped, necessary conditions exist. The medics and de-miners are carrying out their daily work,” it said.

Arakelyan also met with Ahmad Javed, United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) Syria Program Manager, and politician Yahiya Aveyda.
