YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 21, ARMENPRESS. At least 81 people have been killed in a fire that broke out in the four-storey residential house in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka, TASS reports citing the Bangladesh Observer newspaper.

According to Reuters, 50 people have been hospitalized. Some of them are in critical condition.

The fire broke out at 20:30 Yerevan time, later spreading to four neighboring structures. According to Xinhua, the fire started after a gas explosion in the house.

AFP reported that the building was also used as a warehouse for chemicals.
