YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 11, ARMENPRESS. Republican Party (HHK) Executive Body Member Arpine Hovhannisyan is quitting the HHK.

In a statement released through her Facebook account, Hovhannisyan said she is a licensed lawyer and will “join the attorney community who aren’t retreating from defending their clients regardless of public moods”.

Hovhannisyan served as Vice President of Parliament (2017-2018) and was also Justice Minister (2015-2017).

In the statement, she also said that she has established an NGO that will have a goal of supervising the processes in the country, raise the problems, and at the same time propose solutions.

Hovhannisyan said she will be a partner in the Davit and Partners consulting firm.

“I have decided to cease my membership at this phase to the Republican Party of Armenia. I wish good luck to my party colleagues in the future,” she said.
