YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. Jailed former MP Manvel Grigoryan, who was hospitalized yesterday for examination, will continue staying at the Nairi medical center.

Director of the medical center Anatoli Gnuni told Armenpress that Grigoryan must continue receiving treatment in the hospital. He said Grigoryan suffers decompensation of chronic diseases. The Director couldn’t say exactly how long the former MP will stay in the hospital. He informed that Manvel Grigoryan is under the control of the penitentiary authorities.

Manvel Grigoryan has been charged for illegal possession of firearms and grand theft.

He was remanded into custody on June 16, 2018.

Grigoryan was stripped off immunity by the Parliament in June 19.

He was released on a 25 million AMD bail on December 21, 2018.

But the former lawmaker has been again placed under arrest on January 22, 2019.
