Armenia develops multilateral relations – Pashinyan on ties with EU and EAEU

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS. The German government is interested in the recent democratic, real and institutional changes in Armenia, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview to the Russian service of Deutsche Welle, reports Armenpress.

Commenting on his recent official visit to Germany and the outcomes of the meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Armenian PM said: “I consider the main outcome the concrete agreements existing in Armenia in connection with the German investments. We agreed that the EU and Germany will support the agenda of our reforms. The German government is interested in the recent democratic, real and institutional changes in Armenia”.

The PM said Armenia develops multilateral relations. “We are developing our relations at all directions. As I said, the European Union supports our democratic reforms. It’s important that the EU doesn’t put an issue before us to make a choice between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the European Union, we do not have such problem”, Pashinyan said, stating that Armenia chairs at the EAEU.

“Our relations both with the EU and the EAEU are exclusively transparent for all our partners. We are not going to develop our relations with one partner against another. There is absolute clarity and transparency here”, the PM stated.
