Deputy PM’s staff

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS. There is no issue in the government’s and Parliament’s agenda to change the national anthem or flag of Armenia, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan’s chief of staff Varag Siseryan said on Facebook, reports Armenpress.

“I want to inform you that I strongly oppose the idea on changing the anthem and/or flag of Armenia and the different proposals over this. I am convinced that it is much more preferable to avoid discussing splitting materials and gather across materials that require constructive discussion.

In addition, I want to assure my friends and compatriots living abroad that I have talked to several of my colleagues both in the executive and the legislative over the case and can confidently state that there is no agenda on amending the anthem and/or the flag”, Siseryan wrote.

He added that at this stage they have more important and priority issues to solve.
