YEREVAN, DECEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. The Nagorno Karabakh conflict is not a frozen conflict, it’s a real conflict affecting the Armenian people, government and state, French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte told reporters, reports Armenpress.

“During the two months I am in Armenia there have been death cases of soldiers in the line of contact. This is a conflict which concerns us, and perhaps this is the reason that France is committed to the work which should lead to the settlement based on the principle of non-use of force since this conflict cannot have a military solution, as well as the principles of territorial integrity and the peoples’ right to self-determination which are the key points of the negotiation process. France has expressed its determination to fully implement the commitments undertaken within the OSCE Minsk Group”, the French Ambassador said.

He said the French leadership at the highest level follows this conflict, but the decision to find a negotiated and lasting solution belongs to both sides.
