Ambassador Eiji Taguchi considers Armenia’s multi-vector policy advantage for Japanese
companies

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Armenia and Japan will be able to search for close cooperation directions through the European Union, Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Eiji Taguchi told reporters on December 11, reports Armenpress.

Perhaps not everybody knows that last week the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe made a statement by which welcomed the finalization of the negotiations of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between the European Union and Japan. I know that Armenia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, and I want to state that Russia is an important economic partner for Japan, we have good economic relations. Armenia really has a unique position, since, being as an EAEU member, it also signed an agreement with the European Union. And this is some advantage for the Japanese companies”, he said.

The Ambassador also highlighted the fact that in Armenia especially the youth knows both Russian and English which is very important for a foreign investor.

“This is a great advantage for investors or companies that want to establish a production or a subsidiary in Armenia”, the Japanese Ambassador said.

On November 24 Armenia and the EU signed the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement in Brussels.
