Yerevan City Hall to name Sayat Nova Ave. - Charents Str. intersection Square of Argentina
12:59, 16 June 2017YEREVAN, JUNE 16, ARMENPRESS. The square in the Sayat Nova Ave. – Charents Str. Intersection in downtown Yerevan will be named Argentine Republic Square.
The City Council of Yerevan approved the decision at the June 16 session, and will come into effect on the 10th day after the announcement.
According to the petition of the foreign ministry, the Embassy of Argentina had submitted a proposal on naming the square in the abovementioned location (near the Embassy) “Argentine Republic Square”.
The chief architect of the city has approved the decision.
