YEREVAN, JUNE 15, ARMENPRESS. According to travel agencies and airlines of Oman, Armenia is a preferred tourism destination for Oman’s citizens ahead of the Muslim Eid al-Fitr holiday, Times of Oman reports.

Georgia, Goa, Kochi and Nepal are also top destinations along with Armenia.

Oman’s travel agencies say Armenia and Georgia are top destinations in Eastern Europe due to ‘relaxed visa procedures’.

Times of Oman recalled that on February 22, 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia said citizens of India, who have residence permit in the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, State of Qatar, State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman can obtain entry visa upon arrival in Armenia.

“After this, we are getting a lot of bookings as budget carriers with attractive fares operate (flights) to Armenia,” a travel agency representative said, as quoted by the Times of Oman.

Eid al-Fitr  is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan.
