City of Valencia recognizes Armenian Genocide

YEREVAN, JUNE 10, ARMENPRESS. The local government council of the Spanish city Valencia passed a bill on recognizing and condemning the Armenian Genocide on June 9, the Armenian Embassy of Spain told ARMENPRESS.
The Compromís, València en Comú and Socialista parties voted in favor of the resolution on recognizing the Armenian Genocide – submitted by the Ararat Armenian Union.
Valencia’s government condemned the first genocide of the 20th century and urged the Parliament of Valencia, the Government of Spain, as well as Turkey – to follow their example.
