Ministry of economic development plans to double exports to EEU countries
YEREVAN, MAY 27, ARMENPRESS. Armenia has recorded more than 40% growth in exports to EEU in the first months of this year, however this indicator isn’t enough, Hovhannes Azizyan, deputy minister of economic development and investments of Armenia told reporters during the EEU-Armenia Cooperation business forum.
“We are planning to double our exports volumes to EEU territory in the upcoming years. In 2016, a 65% growth in exports was recorded as compared to 2015 to EEU countries, while the growth of exports to third countries was 13%”, he said.
He also noted that attitude towards business within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union has changed.
The deputy minister finds the EEU market to be convenient for Armenian businessmen.
