YEREVAN, MAY 9, ARMENPRESS. Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan addressed a congratulatory message on the Victory Day on May 9.

In the message Sargsyan said the wars must not be repeated.

“May 9 is a great day in the history of our country. The fireworks blow which sounds throughout Eurasian space reminds about the heroic deeds of our grandfathers who defeated the brutal aggressor, the German fascism 72 years ago”, he said.

Tigran Sargsyan highlighted that the war operations that lasted 4 years were filled with pain, losses, overcoming the difficulties, tears and pride for victory, as well as with heroic examples, unity of Russians, Armenians, Belarusians and representatives of other people.

“Today we express our gratitude to the veterans, those people without whom this great victory would be impossible, who lived and died in the battle field. We remember with pain those people who fell in the battle field. I am convinced the sufferings caused by wars must not be repeated. That’s why the Victory Day reminds everyone that we need to live in peace, find ways for agreement and find a path that unites peoples and states”, Tigran Sargsyan said.
