YEREVAN, APRIL 28, ARMENPRESS. The delegation of Russia’s defense ministry led by Col. General Alexander Dvornikov, Commander of Russia’s Southern military district, visited Armenia April 26-28, the defense ministry told ARMENPRESS.

Col. General Dvornikov visited the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri and the military aviation base in Yerevan.

On April 28 Col General Dvornikov had a meeting with Lt. General Movses Hakobyan, Chief of the General Staff of Armenia’s Armed Forces.

The sides discussed the role and significance of the Armenian Armed Forces and Russian Armed Forces unified troops, issues related to the upcoming Partnership joint military exercises in Armenia between the Armenian and Russian Armed Forces and CSTO tactical response collective forces’ contingent and the Search military exercises in both Armenia and Russia.

A number of other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
