Newly-appointed Ambassador of Ecuador presents credentials to President Sargsyan

YEREVAN, APRIL 28, ARMENPRESS. Newly-appointed Ambassador of Ecuador to Armenia Julio César Prado Espinosa (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan on April 28, press service of the President’s Office told Armenpress.

President Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. Serzh Sargsyan said Armenia is interested in deepening the relations with Latin American countries, including Ecuador, and expressed hope Ambassador Julio César Prado Espinosa with his experience and active work will raise the bilateral relations to a new qualitative level.

Serzh Sargsyan stated that Armenia is linked with cultural ties and values with the Latin American countries which served a base for hundreds of thousands of Armenians in the early last century when they found shelters in those countries by surviving the Armenian Genocide. The President attached importance to strengthening the friendly ties and intensifying the mutual partnership at various spheres.

In his turn Ambassador Julio César Prado Espinosa assured that during his tenure he will make all efforts to develop the relations between Armenia and Ecuador, as well as the cooperation both at bilateral and multilateral formats within the frames of international organizations. At the meeting he also presented his proposals to President Sargsyan aimed at fully utilizing the potential of bilateral mutual partnership in various domains.

Both sides attached importance to activating the parliamentary contacts between the two countries.
