Armenia hosts EAEU member states’ specialists dealing with tax affairs

YEREVAN, APRIL 27, ARMENPRESS. The 11th session of the Tax Policy and Administration Advisory Committee of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was held in Armenia, reports Armenpress.

At the request of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Armenia’s Finance Ministry hosted via skype the specialists and partners dealing with tax affairs from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.

Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan delivered welcoming remarks at the session by attaching importance to regularly organizing such as they make it possible to settle issues existing in the EAEU space.

“It is natural that numerous issues subject to settlement will emerge in the EAEU space as a newly formed international economic organization, and such platforms and meetings enable to quickly record, discuss and settle the existing problems”, the Minister said.

Tigran Davtyan – Director of the EEC Financial Policy Department, informed that the session is being held twice a year at different EAEU member states. A number of key issues were discussed at the session.

“The representatives of all member states participated in the session, only the representative from Belarus was taking part via skype. The agenda was quite interesting. Productive discussions were held. During the years of the EAEU activity we have reached the point that we manage to eliminate the disagreements between the member states thanks to such meetings”, Davtyan said.
