YEREVAN, APRIL 27, ARMENPRESS. The Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for the UNECE Region and the UNECE session titled “Economic Integration and Cooperation towards 2030” dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) was held in Geneva from April 25 to 26 during which Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimyan delivered speech, the MFA told Armenpress.

The Deputy FM said during its activity the UN Economic Commission for Europe played a key role in the region’s economic development. According to him, the ECE contributes to strengthening the cooperation of the European countries, as well as the economic integration in accordance with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Ashot Hovakimyan said Armenia’s Government reviewed the poverty reduction strategy by targeting the directions of human capital development, increase of employment, improvement of social protection system and institutional modernization of public administration.
