YEREVAN, APRIL 27, ARMENPRESS. The wide representation of Russia airliners in Armenia’s aviation market is due to the fact that Russian destinations are in high demand in the country, Sergey Avetisyan, head of the General Department of Civil Aviation told a press conference on April 27.

“Everything is very simple here. The answer lies in the logic of supply and demand. Flights to Russia are really highly demanded in Armenia, that’s why a relevant supply is formed”, he said.

He added if demand for European destinations increases, a relevant supply from Europe will be formed.

“This is why we want to sign the common aviation area agreement with the EU as soon as possible, in order to be able to create a relevant legal foundation, so that businesses and airline companies feel comfortable and secure while entering Armenia”, he said.
