YEREVAN, APRIL 26, ARMENPRESS. The state chamber choir of Armenia and the national chamber orchestra of Armenia will deliver a memorial concert on May 1 in the Komitas Chamber Music House. The concert is dedicated to composer Harutyun Dellalian’s 80th anniversary.

Dellalian was one of the most unique composers of Armenian modern music.

Born in 1937, Dellalian repatriated to Armenia with his family at the age of 10.

In 1972 he graduated the college and enrolled in the Komitas Conservatory. Immediately after graduation, he became a member of the union of composers.

At his first appearance in United States he won the Superstar Prize and Golden Award of the California Cinema and Television Board.

His works were performed on many stages throughout the world, in the U.S.A., Japan, Italy, England, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Greece, Russia and Armenia.
