Finding alternative route to Upper Lars still under discussion

The discussions over finding an alternative route to Upper Lars are still underway and the results will be definitely released, Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan told reporters on March 29, Armenpress reports.
He said the Georgian side proposed quite good terms, and the Russian side made discounts. “Both air and ferry transportation can be alternative to Lars. Today, ferry transportation is organized, and the transportation of some products through Lars checkpoint is more affordable with this option than with a vehicle”, the Minister said.
