9 candidates to run for presidency in France
12:26, 18 March 2017YEREVAN, MARCH 18, ARMENPRESS. 9 candidates will run for the presidency in France, Vest.ru reports.
The deadline for submission of documents necessary for nomination is already expired. According to the Constitution, 9 candidates received the required number of signatures.
In terms of number of signatures, the Republican candidate François Fion is leading. He received 6 times more signatures than required. Socialist party’s candidate Benoît Hamon received 1700, Emmanuel Macron over 1500 signatures.
The first round of election will be held on April 23, and the second on May 7.
