YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 23, ARMENPRESS. In the sidelines of the official visit to Georgia the Armenian delegation led by Premier Karen Karapetyan has been received by President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Government of Armenia, greeting the Armenian PM and his delegation, the Georgian President highly assessed the results of the government level meetings and noted that the proposed initiatives will foster future development and strengthening of the relations. The President of Georgia hoped that the constructive cooperation on parliamentary and governmental levels is a firm ground for future deepening of relations, including in new directions.

Highlighting the high level of political relations between Armenia and Georgia, the Armenian prime Minister noted that interactions in all levels are rather intensive but the economic potentials are not yet fully utilized.  The PM reaffirmed that meaningful and productive talks took place between him and his Georgian counterpart, and hoped that the results will give new impetus to future relations. “We discussed a broad range of issues of mutual interest. I have to document that the effective utilization of the existing potential has great prospects of development, particularly in terms of implementation of projects of regional importance. The Armenian side is ready to provide the Georgian businessmen with various platforms for increasing their reach to other markets. At the same time we expect to further deepen cooperation in the sphere of tourism with our Georgian partners”, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan stressed.

The Armenian Premier thanked for the good attitude towards the Armenian community in Georgia, as well as for the preservation of historical-cultural values.

In response, the Georgian President highlighted the active participation of the Armenian community in the economic and cultural life of Georgia.
