YEREVAN, JANUARY 17, ARMENPRESS. The First Garrison Investigative department launched a probe to determine the circumstances surrounding servicemen Gurgen Sargsyan sustaining a gunshot wound, the Investigative Department told ARMENPRESS.

According to initial information, Private Gurgen Sargsyan sustained a gunshot wound to the head at 23:55, January 16, while on duty in an unnamed military position, as result of a negligent treatment of a firearm by a junior sergeant.

Private Sargsyan has been hospitalized in a critical condition.

A criminal case has been initiated in the First Garrison Investigative department on the incident.

On January 16, at 23:55, 20 year old serviceman Gurgen Sargsyan sustained a gunshot wound which resulted from negligent use of firearms in an unnamed post
