Caviar diplomacy will eventually be brought to an end - be it through criminal investigations and ensuing court sentences, be it because within Azerbaijani society this practice is considered less and less tolerable, MEP representing Luxembourg Frank Engel said in an interview with “Armenpress”, commenting on the announcement of civil society representatives of Azerbaijan which urged PACE to suspend the right to vote of Azerbaijan’s delegation.

“The Azerbaijani civil society has a right to parliamentary representation in international forums which does not constantly rely on the convincing powers of money and gifts. It will be interesting to see how many friends and allies Azerbaijan will have outside its borders when it will no longer be in a position to lavishly pay them for their support”, the MEP said.
