Armenia’s Government plans to increase dividends entering state budget in 2017

YEREVAN, JANUARY 12, ARMENPRESS. During the Government’s session Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan instructed Head of State Property Management Department Arman Sahakyan to present proposals within two months on applying concrete measures and practical mechanisms in the management of commercial companies with the state’s participation. This aims to increase the volume of dividends entering the state budget for 2017, reports “Armenpress”.

“It is necessary to hold a joint discussion with the Ministers of Healthcare, Justice, Emergency Situations, Natural Protection, Agriculture, Energy and Natural Resources, Economic Development and Investments, Education and Science, Culture, Defense, Sport and Youth Affairs, Transport and Communication and Chairman of the Urban Development Committee and present proposals to the Government on taking concrete measures and practical mechanisms in the field of management of commercial companies under the state’s participation, by this aiming at significantly increasing the volume of dividends entering the state budget for the year of 2017”, the PM said.

He also instructed to submit proposals to the Government within three months on raising the efficiency of the leasing process of state property aiming at significantly increasing the state budget receipts from leasing and improving service provision quality.

He also assigned to submit the lists of privatization of shares of commercial companies that are included and will be included in the state property privatization program, as well as the lists of state property alienation within two weeks.
