Cavusoglu expects Trump to extradite Gulen
15:00, 9 January 2017YEREVAN, JANUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu announced that Turkey expects US President-elect Donald Trump to extradite Muslim preacher Fethullah Gülen, Hurriyet reported.
Speaking at the 9th conference of Ambassadors in Ankara, Cavusoglu talked about his expectations from the US administration.
“We believe the US won’t continue the mistakes of the previous stage. We have two priority expectations. First is the immediate extradition of the leader and other key members of the Gulen movement. Secondly, ending the cooperation with the “People’s Protection Units (YPG) which is considered to be a wing of the PKK”, he said.
He also touched upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, saying they will support Azerbaijan till the end.
