South Korea’s Parliament votes in favor of President’s impeachment
11:51, 9 December 2016YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. South Korea’s MPs on December 9 voted in favor of impeachment of the country’s President Park Geun-hye, reports TASS.
234 MPs voted yes, 56 were against, 2 abstained and 8 votes were considered as invalid. All 300 MPs were present in the Parliament.
Earlier the opposition parties submitted a respective bill to the Parliament’s discussion. At least 200 votes of MPs were needed for the impeachment to take place.
