YEREVAN, DECEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. An investigation is underway in the third Garrison Investigative department to uncover the circumstances which led to servicemen Private Albert Postolokyan’s death and Garnik Terteryan’s shrapnel wounds, the investigative committee told ARMENPRESS.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Military Prosecution and the third Garrison Investigative department is tasked with the investigation.

According to initial information, grenadier assistant Private Albert Postolokyan had thrown his service grenade at the entrance of the trench at 02:10, December 8, which resulted in gunner Private Garnik Terteryan sustaining shrapnel wounds, and later Postolokyan died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds from his service rifle.

Terteryan was hospitalized.

An investigation is underway.
