YEREVAN, DECEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. Freedom of speech is in quite good condition in Armenia, Head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski said during the Freedom of Speech and Press workshop on December 8 , reports “Armenpress”.

“Armenia is ranked the highest in the ratings of prestigious organizations compared to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. Whether this means that Armenia must be satisfied with what it has, of course, no, since there are certain gaps that must be filled”, the EU Ambassador said.

He said he likes very much the works of digital mass media in Armenia. “I like very much how free the digital mass media are working. People freely leave comments on Facebook, criticize both the leadership and the opposition. I like very much the fact that people are not afraid to leave critical comments. Armenia has a very free digital space”, he said.
